Calligraphic parchment contains the following Qur'ānic verses: sūra Fuṣṣilat (chapter 41: verses 53-54) and sūra al-Shūraʹ (chapter 42: verses 1-3)

Calligraphed for the Fatimid King al-Ṣanhājiyyat in Qairawān

Placed in a silk covered cushion on one side and a loose silk guard sheet on the other side, cream colour strap leather to aid handling the parchment, external wooden frame box
