The top of page 12 says, "The most striking novelties for the Season of '97 to be found here...." Since there is no date indication anywhere else, this might be a hint.
Also, is there definitive evidence that John Eaton's store belongs with the Timothy Eaton store materials?

The women's clothing in this publication is most certainly 1890s. Not 1880s. The puffy arm sleeves on the women's shirts are a dead give away. Its misleading when doing searches based off publication date.
