The Happening was the first University Administration publication at Loyola College. It was published by the Loyola Public Relations Office from 1967 to 1974. It started as a calendar of events in 1967, then became a newsletter in 1971 with stories regarding the Loyola Community. By January 1972 it had more the appearance of a newspaper. It was also known as The Loyola Happening and the Loyola of Montreal Happening. After the merger of Sir George Williams University and Loyola College, the Concordia Information Office published a new publication, Transcript, that succeeded Issues & Events and The Happening.
