DESCRIPTION

Acta Sanctæ Sedis [Acts of the Holy See] was a Roman Catholic publication published monthly by the Holy See. Launched in 1865, it contained the principal public documents issued by the pope, directly or through the Roman Congregations.

Though not designated as the official means of promulgating laws of the Holy See, the periodical was declared an organ of the Holy See to the extent that all documents printed in it were considered "authentic and official". In 1908, it ceased publication and was replaced by the gazette Acta Apostolicae Sedis.

The Internet Archive Collection contains microfilm published between 1865 and 1908.
