There is a particular book published 1872 with reprints to 1909, which is quite hard to find in the wild. It is not available here or on google books. It exists in the NYPL system, and in a couple of university libraries. I know hundreds of people who would love to have access to it, and I'd like to make it available.
Since I see archive.org collaborates with NYPL, is it possible to get this moved into the queue to scan sooner? It is a very short book, so it won't be a lot of time, though it does have fold-outs, I believe. If so, whom do I contact?
Alternatively, if my local library or university library can get one of the copies by ILL, and lets me take it out of the library, is it possible to take it in for scanning at my local archive.org branch? Or would it be better just to do it myself and upload?
Thanks for any advice.
