We will look at the Catalan numbers from the {\it Rigged Configurations} point of view originated \cite{Kir} from an combinatorial analysis of the Bethe Ansatz Equations associated with the higher spin anisotropic Heisenberg models . Our strategy is to take a combinatorial interpretation of Catalan numbers $C_n$ as the number of standard Young tableaux of rectangular shape $(n^2)$, or equivalently, as the Kostka number $K_{(n^2),1^{2n}}$, as the starting point of research. We observe that the...

Pulsar "standard model" of rotating magnetized conducting sphere surrounded by plasma is generalized in its essential parts for the case of oscillating star. Goldreich-Julian charge density, electromagnetic energy losses as well as polar cap scenario of particle accelerations are considered. Despite similarities, there are substantial differences between magnetospheres of rotating and oscillating stars. Distortion of particle acceleration mechanism in radiopulsars by neutron star...

The synchronizing word of deterministic automaton is a word in the alphabet of colors (considered as letters) of its edges that maps the automaton to a single state. A coloring of edges of a directed graph is synchronizing if the coloring turns the graph into deterministic finite automaton possessing a synchronizing word. The road coloring problem is a problem of synchronizing coloring of directed finite strongly connected graph with constant outdegree of all its vertices if the greatest common...

The partial width of the decay D^*+_s -> D^+_s pi^0 going through the violation of isotopical symmetry is computed with respect to the partial width of the radiative decay D^*+_s -> D^+_s gamma in the effective quark model with chiral U(3)xU(3) symmetry incorporating Heavy quark effective theory (HQET) and Chiral perturbation theory at the quark level (CHPT)_q. We investigate a sensitivity of the ratio of the partial widths R_0 to current s-quark mass corrections and find a strong...

A panoramic view is given of the applications of QFT to diverse areas of physics, beginning with the concepts of QED Vacuum as well as of electron self-energy and renormalization. The related concepts of the degenerate vacuum, spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB)and Nambu-Goldstone bosons, together with their applications to condensed matter physics and quasi particles are outlined. The possibilities of application to life sciences are also examined. Finally the alternative method of Path...

A method and code for calculations of diatomic molecules in the external variable electromagnetic field have been developed. Code applied for calculation of systematics in the electron's electric dipole moment search experiment on ThO $H^3\Delta_1$ state related to geometric phases, including dependence on $\Omega$-doublet, rotational level, and external static electric field. It is found that systematics decrease cubically with respect to the frequency of the rotating transverse component of...

We introduce the notion of pure Q-solvable algebra. The quantum matrices, quantum Weyl algebra, U_q(n) are the examples. It is proved that the skew field of fractions of pure Q-solvable algebra is isomorphic to the skew field of twisted rational functions. This is the quantum version of Gelfand-Kirillov conjecture for solvable algebraic Lie algebras.

Modular invariant conformal field theories with just one primary field and central charge $c=24$ are considered. It has been shown previously that if the chiral algebra of such a theory contains spin-1 currents, it is either the Leech lattice CFT, or it contains a Kac-Moody sub-algebra with total central charge 24. In this paper all meromorphic modular invariant combinations of the allowed Kac-Moody combinations are obtained. The result suggests the existence of 71 meromorphic $c=24$ theories,...

We derive a particle number-conserving rate equation for the ground state and for the elementary excitations of a bosonic system which is in contact with a gas of a different species (sympathetic cooling). We use the Giradeau-Arnowitt method and the model derived by Lewenstein et. al. with an additional assumption: the high-excited levels thermalize much faster with the cooling agent than the other levels. Evaporation of particles, know to be important in the initial stages of the cooling...

The operation of resistively-coupled single-electron transistor (R-SET) is studied quantitatively. Due to the Nyquist noise of the coupling resistance, degradation of the R-SET performance is considerable at temperatures $T$ as small as $10^{-3} e^2/C$ (where $C$ is the junction capacitance) while the voltage gain becomes impossible at $T\agt 10^{-2}e^2/C$.

The contribution of a spin-rich $qqq$ force (in conjunction with pairwise $qq$ forces) to the analytical structure of the $qqq$ wave function is worked out in the high momentum regime of QCD where the confining interaction may be ignored, so that the dominant effect is $Coulombic$. A distinctive feature of this study is that the spin-rich $qqq$ force is generated by a $ggg$ vertex (a genuine part of the QCD Lagrangian) wherein the 3 radiating gluon lines end on as many quark lines, giving rise...

We present the results of band structure calculations for ACr2X4 (A=Zn, Cd, Hg and X=O, S, Se) spinels. Effective exchange coupling constants between Cr spins are determined by fitting the energy of spin spirals to a classical Heisenberg model. The calculations reproduce the change of the sign of the dominant nearest-neighbor exchange interaction J1 from antiferromagnetic in oxides to ferromagnetic in sulfides and selenides. It is verified that the ferromagnetic contribution to J1 is due to...

I give a brief overview of recent results from self-consistent modeling of electron-positrons cascades in pulsar polar caps. These results strongly suggest that the pulsar magnetosphere is a more complex system than was assumed before.

Two Poisson structures invariant with respect to discrete transformation of the Maximal root in the case of arbitrary semi-simple algebras are presented in explicit form. Thus the problem of construction of equations of n-wave hierarchy in the case of arbitrary semi simple algebra is solved finally.

We propose that in some pulsars the magnetosphere has different states with different geometries or/and different distributions of currents, it occasionally switches between them. These states have different spindown rates and emission beams, in some of the states no radioemission is produced at all. Switching into a different state manifests as a mode change when we see different parts of the emission beam or the beams in different states have significantly different geometries, it manifests...
